Come with us to Ethiopia. Humanitarian expeditions are for people of all walks of life - from students to retirees - who want to share their time, resources, knowledge and/or skills with those in need, in return for a mind-opening, life changing experience. Skills in education, healthcare, business and agriculture are helpful, but each participant, regardless of skill, has the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the projects we support in Ethiopia and the children and families that benefit from these projects. Your spot in an upcoming expedition is secured as soon as our office recieves your signed waiver of liability and a $500.00 deposit. Travel costs vary depending on location and time of year - summer flights are usually more expensive. Travel costs include airfare and in-country travel. Accomodations include breakfast. Participants will be responsible for paying for their own lunch and dinner. Costs for travel, accomodation and the project fee are tax deductible. In Ethiopia meals are inexpensive. 1 Canadian dollar equals 9 Ethiopian birr - an average dinner in Ethiopia is between 20-40 birr. Participants will also be responsible for their own incidential charges - phone, internet, laundry, bottled water, etc. Plan to take an extra $300-$500 US with you to cover all other expenses and shopping.
